The cottage occupies a sheltered, elevated, rural position with views over the lower end of the wooded Toadsmoor Valley and adjoining Golden Valley. There is ample parking.
The cottage is separated from our house by a large lawn and both properties stand in 6 acres of steeply sloping woodlands and paddocks with level areas of mature garden. Footpaths lead directly from the gardens into the woods. We are at the top of a long, steep, private drive.
We have no close neighbours but do have local shops and pubs all within a few minutes walk. The woods provide almost total seclusion - it is a beautiful spot. The grounds are well fenced, plus a secure fence surrounds the cottage garden. A large kennel is also available and all clean, friendly pets with responsible owners are most welcome.
Please note that we have 2 much loved cats, 3 dogs (not roaming free), a few ducks, a pair of peacocks and also a small flock of tame sheep. Light sleepers could be disturbed by authentic country noises (the mating season for pea-fowl is June!) Wild animals include badgers, foxes, woodpeckers, buzzards and deer.
